Getting Started

 

First Steps!

  • Submit documentation of disability to the DRC; if you have questions about what type of documentation is needed, give us a call to speak with a Disability Specialist.
  • Schedule an appointment with the Disability Specialist following the submission and review of your documentation to determine appropriate accommodations. We can be reached at (509) 335-3417 or you can email us at drc@wsu.edu.
  • Stop by at least once each semester to keep your registration with the DRC and your accommodations current.

Among the Accommodations and Services We Offer...

  • Alternative testing (low distraction, private room, extended time, etc)
  • Alternative print formats (Braille, large print, digital text recordings)
  • Housing
  • Deaf services
  • Intra-campus van transportation
  • Assistive technology (text/speech software, adjustable seating or other equipment)
  • Access to lecture notes and/or Power Point presentation slides, notetaking assistance
  • And many individualized accommodations to meet unique needs.
